Multiply ingredients by

8 cups → 14 cups of batter capacity.

Batter depth vs. original
95%
Bake time
Same temperature

Batter depth is about the same, so the recipe's time should be close — still check a few minutes early.

Capacities assume standard 2-inch-deep pans filled to the usual level. Very different shapes (bundt, loaf) change crumb and timing more than the numbers suggest.

About Cake Pan Converter

Pick the pan the recipe was written for and the pan you actually own, and get one multiplier to apply to every ingredient, based on a standard capacity table for common pans. The tool also compares how deep the batter will sit and turns that into bake-time advice: same temperature, but shallower batter finishes sooner — start checking about 25% earlier.

Common uses

  • Bake a 9-inch round recipe in the 9×13 you actually have
  • Halve-ish a sheet cake down to an 8-inch square
  • Judge whether a layer recipe will fit a bundt pan at all

Example

Input

8" round recipe → 9×13 pan

Output

Multiply ingredients by 2.33 · batter depth ~100%, same temperature and time

Limitations

  • Capacities assume standard 2-inch-deep pans; unusually deep or shallow pans shift both the factor and the timing.
  • Dense batters (pound cake, banana bread) tolerate pan swaps better than delicate foam cakes.
