What does 3d6+2 mean in dice notation?
Roll three six-sided dice, add the results, then add 2. The pattern is NdS±M: N dice with S sides each, plus or minus a flat modifier — d20 alone means one twenty-sided die.
Are online dice rolls actually fair?
These are. Each die uses the browser's cryptographic random source with rejection sampling, so every face is exactly equally likely — arguably fairer than physical dice, which can have slight manufacturing bias.
Are my rolls recorded or sent to a server?
No. Rolls are generated in your browser and the history exists only on the page — it keeps the last 12 rolls and disappears when you reload, so nothing about your session is stored anywhere.
Can I roll dice other than the seven standard ones?
Yes. The quick buttons cover d4 through d100, but the notation box accepts any die from 2 to 1,000 sides and up to 100 dice per roll, so 3d13 or 2d500 work fine.
