Is my markdown saved or transmitted while I preview it?

No. Rendering happens in your browser and the text is neither sent to a server nor stored, so drafts of internal docs and unpublished posts stay on your device — though they're also gone if you close the tab.

Which markdown flavor does the preview use?

GitHub-flavored markdown (GFM), so tables, fenced code blocks, and autolinked URLs render the way they do in a GitHub README. Platform-specific extras like GitHub task-list checkboxes or mentions may still look different on the destination site.

Can I mix raw HTML into my markdown?

Yes, standard markdown allows inline HTML and the preview renders it — but the output is sanitized first, so script tags, iframes, and event-handler attributes like onclick are removed. That keeps pasted content from running code in your browser.

Why does the preview lag slightly behind my typing?

Rendering is debounced: the preview waits for a brief pause in typing before re-parsing the document. This keeps the editor responsive on long documents instead of re-rendering on every keystroke.
