Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere when I generate a QR code?
No. The code is rendered entirely in your browser with JavaScript, so the SSID, password, and anything else you type never leave your device and are not stored anywhere.
What does the QR error correction level actually do?
It adds redundant data so a damaged or partly covered code still scans: level L recovers about 7% damage, M 15%, Q 25%, and H 30%. Higher levels make the code denser, so long inputs may not fit at level H.
Should I download my QR code as PNG or SVG?
Use SVG for anything printed — it is vector-based and stays sharp at any size, from business cards to posters. PNG is fine for screens, documents, and anywhere a fixed pixel size works.
Do QR codes expire?
No. A static QR code like the ones made here encodes your data directly in the pattern, so it works forever. If it encodes a URL, the code only stops being useful when that page goes offline.
How does a Wi-Fi QR code connect my phone automatically?
The Wi-Fi preset encodes the standard WIFI:T:<security>;S:<ssid>;P:<password>;; format. When a phone camera scans it, the OS parses those fields and offers to join the network without any typing — supported natively on iOS 11+ and modern Android.
