IngredientPackage $Package sizeAmount usedUnit
Package size and amount used must be in the same unit (the unit column is just a label).
Fill in at least one ingredient's price, package size, and amount used.
About Recipe Cost Calculator
For each ingredient, enter what the package costs, how big the package is, and how much the recipe actually uses — the tool pro-rates the price so 500 g of flour from a $4 kilo bag costs $2, not $4. Add as many rows as the recipe needs, set the serving count, and get the total recipe cost and cost per serving.
Common uses
- Price a bake sale item or meal-prep batch honestly
- Find which ingredient dominates a recipe's cost
- Set a menu price from cost per serving for a small food business
Example
Input
Flour $4/1000 g (500 g used) + butter $6/454 g (227 g used) · 4 servings
Output
Total $5.00 · $1.25 per serving
Limitations
- Package size and amount used must share a unit per row — the unit column is a label, not a converter.
