Frequently asked questions
Does the day count include both the start and end dates?
The count excludes the start date and includes the end date, so Monday to Friday of the same week is 4 days. If you need both endpoints counted — common for rental or medication day counts — add 1 to the total.
How are business days calculated between two dates?
The weekday count keeps Monday through Friday and skips every Saturday and Sunday between the dates. Public holidays are not excluded, since they differ by country and even by state — subtract those yourself for a strict business-day figure.
Are the dates I enter processed online?
No. All the date arithmetic happens locally in your browser, so deadlines, contract dates, and anything else you enter are never transmitted or logged.
How do I find what date is 90 days from today?
Switch to the add-or-subtract mode, enter today as the start date and 90 as the number of days, and the tool returns the exact calendar date and its weekday. Subtracting works the same way with a negative direction.
Why does the years/months/days breakdown not match total days divided by 30?
The breakdown walks real calendar months, which vary from 28 to 31 days, rather than assuming a 30-day month. That's why 118 total days can read as 3 months and 26 days instead of roughly 3.9 'months'.
