Gamepad Tester

Test any game controller in the browser: live button states, analog values, stick plots, and a vibration check.

Processed locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

No controller detected

Connect a gamepad via USB or Bluetooth, then press any button on it — browsers only reveal a controller after its first input. Everything is read locally; nothing leaves this page.

Buttons light up while pressed; the bars show analog values (triggers report 0–1). Stick plots show each axis pair as a dot — a healthy stick returns to the center when released.

About Gamepad Tester

Plug in or pair a controller, press any button, and every input appears live: button presses with their analog values, trigger travel as bars, and each stick as a dot in a crosshair plot. If the controller supports rumble, a vibration test button fires both motors.

It reads controllers through the browser's Gamepad API, so it works with Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro, and most generic USB or Bluetooth pads without installing anything.

Common uses

  • Check a used or second-hand controller for stick drift before buying games night snacks
  • Verify all buttons and triggers register after a spill or drop
  • Confirm a Bluetooth pad actually paired and which slot it landed in
  • Test whether rumble motors still work

Limitations

  • Browsers hide controllers until you press a button on them — a connected but untouched pad shows as absent.
  • Vibration support depends on the browser and controller; some combinations expose no actuator.
