About Screen PPI Calculator
Enter a resolution and diagonal size to get pixel density (PPI = √(w² + h²) ÷ diagonal), dot pitch in millimeters, total pixel count, and the aspect ratio. Presets cover common monitors and a modern phone panel.
It also reads your current screen via the browser for a quick sanity check — note that browsers report CSS pixels times devicePixelRatio, which may not match the panel's true native resolution.
Common uses
- Compare sharpness between a 24" 1080p and a 27" 1440p monitor before buying
- Check whether text will be readable at 100% scaling on a prospective display
- Find the dot pitch a spec sheet leaves out
