How many square feet does a pallet of sod cover?
Commonly 450 sq ft, which is this calculator's default, but farms in different regions ship pallets covering anywhere from 400 to 500 sq ft. Both the pallet and roll coverage fields are editable, so match them to your supplier's numbers before ordering.
How much extra sod should I order for waste?
5–10% extra is typical. The cushion covers cuts around curved beds, walkways, and odd corners, plus the occasional damaged roll — running short means a second delivery of sod that may not color-match the first.
How do I measure an irregular lawn for sod?
